Detailed travel Itinerary

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport, I receive you with private vehicle and transfer to home stay in Kathmandu located near by Thamel. Then I will give you an information about further programs. As upon your request, we go to short walk around old city area.

All aspects of gear and conditions are discussed to make sure you're fully prepared for the trip. After lunch we explore this medieval capital city Kathmandu. Being a professional and licensed holder guide, I will take you for full day sightseeing such as Boudhanath stupa, also known as little Tibet. Then we visit Pasupatinath, holy temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Hindu where cremation takes place by the holy river Bagmati. Later we visit Swayambhunath stupa known as monkey temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square the city of glory where you can explore living goddess. And transfer to home stay.

Very early morning, I will come to pick you in your hotel, we drive together to domestic terminal hall. Check the flight and fly together to Lukla 2886m. The flight is adventures and can be flying between the big rocks and mountains; It’s a bit adventure but offers scenic mountain views. After landing, I will take you to the nice hotel, where you can have nice breakfast and meet up with your Sherpa porters for your luggage transfer to the Himalaya. After fixing everything, we move further to Bengkar village (2740 m.) where we can stay for overnights. During the day excursion, we pass several villages such as Kusum, Ghat, Phakding, Tok tok and on the right side, you will have amazing close up view of Kusum Kanguru and Thamserku. Leaving your all stuffs into your room, you might either hike about 60 meter up to Pine forest hill or walk further to Monju and descend to stay overnight which could be a great options to be acclimatize.

Having breakfast, we commence our trek along the right bank of Dudh Koshi River. Thamserku is standing majestically skyward on the opposite bank. The trail now climbs from the riverbed on the left bank into the tiny village Monjo. We then come to Sagarmatha National Park entrance office. No worry to organize, I will check the entrance and paying all, we follow a short walk along the riverbed of this shaped valley where Dudh Koshi from the right valley and Bhote koshi from the left valley can be meet each other. We cross Hillary Bridge which is famous in this region, immediately we begin steep ascent to Namche Bazar (3440 M). On the way, we would have excellent first views of Mt.Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m.) and world’s most beautiful mountain Amadablam. Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Namche Bazar (3440m) is a central hub of the area for food, trekking gears and other necessary goods. We take rest at Namche Bazaar (3440 m.) for acclimatization. It is considered as an ideal place for acclimatization to the high altitude before heading towards Tengboche Monastery. We go up to Khhumjung monastery. It is a small settlement of Sherpa community. We enjoy the splendid view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde and so on from here. While returning to Namche, we would visit Museum located at above on the hill station which exhibits Sherpa lifestyles..

Having breakfast trek heading towards Tyangboche (3867 m.) Monestery. The trail goes ahead leaving a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Kosi. In this section too, we would have a panoramic view of the Himalayas such as Ama Dablam (6812m), Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse (7855m) and Tawoche (6501m). We would visit Trashinga, Phunki Tenga and reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche offers a good view of sun rise and sun set at Everest and Ama Dablam..

We trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4260 m.). Leaving Tyangboche at the backdrop, we descend through a rhododendron forest and enter Deboche village. Crossing a suspension bridge at Imja Khola, we head towards Minlinggo and inter Imjatse Valley beneath the mighty peaks of Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Lhotse. We finally come to Dingboche village in the afternoon..

It is our turn to head towards Lobuche. The onward trail is gentle up to Pheriche village. Along the trail, we would be privileged to have panoramic views of the Mt.Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokalde (5741m), Kongma-tse (5820m) and the great wall of Nuptse. We would have lunch at Dugla (4595m) and trek to Lobuche..

Having breakfast at Lobuche, we trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (5140m.). It is the most rewarding section of the trek. Our trail winds up through rocky path and Khumbu glacier. The view of Nuptse, Lho-La and Khumbutse appear at a stone throwing distance. Visit Everest Base Camp and come back to Gorakshep.

The trek goes through the rough morriane from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and then to Pheriche (4243m.) We climb Kala Patthar (5545m.) in the morning to enjoy the view of sunrise. Besides, we would also have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more. There is telephone service at Pheriche from where one can make telephonic conversations to any part of the world. The town of Pheriche is known as windy town as the flow of wind is high at all times. Pheriche is also popular due to the establishment of Himalayan Rescue Association Aid Post where foreign volunteer doctors provide medical treatment to trekkers as well as local people.

Trek begins just through the wide path in a big plain area. We cross a stream that emerges from the Chola Glacier and Khumba Glacier and named as Khumbu Khola (stream). Following the main Everest trail down the beautifully scenic valley, we pass through the villages of Orsho, Somare and reach Pangboche. We cross the bridge over Imja Khola and walk down to Deboche village and climb for an hour to Tengboche hill. We spend a short time at Tengboche monastery; observe its many prayer wheels. From Tengboche, a steep down to the first bridge over Dudh Koshi on our return trip at Phurke Tenga. Further, we pass the village of Tashinga and reach Sanasa. We spend the night at Sanasa village.

Trail to get Namche Bazar goes flat in the beginning then hangs to the steep slope winding through several bends. We cross Kyangjuma on the way. We have enough time in Namche to shop and relax in a bakery that serves coffee and cakes, and provides Internet access. A steep descent from Namche Hill leads to the suspension bridge crossing the Dudh Kosi River near the confluence of the Dhudh Koshi and the Bhote Koshi Rivers. We lookout for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards,and colourful pheasants while passing through the forest by the trail. We cross the Dudh Koshi River twice at separate locations before reaching Monjo. We are out of the Sagarmatha National Park after exiting from its official entrance near Monjo and finally reach Monjo Village. Monjo is a quieter place to stay than Namche and we will have a less strenuous walk back to Lukla tomorrow.

We walk downhill to Dudhkoshi River in the beginning then the path goes along the river almost for the whole trek today. We cross several wooden bridges over the small streams that finally go to Dudh Koshi. We cross Dudh Koshi River in every now and then through the suspension bridge. On the way we meet several mani walls, prayer wheels, prayer flags and stupas since we are trekking in the Buddhist area. We cross Phakding a beautiful village. From here we can see the spectacular view of Kongde Ri. The path goes flat and down after Phakting. From the place called Thado Koshigaon we can have the beautiful view of the peak called Kusum Khangkaru (6367m). Now, from Chauri Kharka the path goes uphill to Lukla. Since Lukla is a small city in the mountain region there is facility of bank too. A small hydro power station supplies electricity for the whole city here. Telephone, mobile and internet services are available here. Also bakery and café are here to enjoy western meals. .

We board our early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at TIA. We drive together until your hotel. As soon as you are in the hotel in Thamel, the rest of teh day, you might go for shopping or visiting to Garden of Dreams to have relax on yourself.
